Faisal Mumtaz

Faisal Mumtaz lives in Woking with his wife and four-year old son, and works as a manager for a local food ingredients firm. He has strong business skills and experience in organisational improvement.

Faisal has enjoyed meeting residents on the doorstep across Canalside over the last few months, but many feel they have been neglected and taken for granted by the current Labour councilors for some time. He has lots of energy and is passionate about improving his local community. He has already supported residents in a range of issues including housing applications, planning and development and immigration applications.

Faisal is delighted to stand as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Canalside in this May’s local elections, and to join the existing energetic Lib Dem team. A vote for Faisal will help to ensure residents of Canalside elect a great local champion to advocate for them and represent them.

In his spare time, Faisal volunteers with a number of local organisations and supports a charity in Pakistan which runs an ambulance service to remote villages and spends time cultivating his garden.
