His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will be visiting Woking on Friday 23 March to discover more about Woking Borough Council's work to tackle climate change and to get involved in a discussion about the role that business has to play in creating a sustainable future.
The Liberal Democrat Budget, with a Council Tax increase of 4.4% (less than the Conservative administration last year, and only just above inflation), was passed by Woking Council on Thursday 22 February by 18 LibDem votes to 13 Tories. One Tory (Cllr Val Tinney) and the three Labour Councillors
Woking's Liberal Democrat Executive is proposing a Council Tax increase of 4.4% (£8.10 a year, or 16p a week) - less than its predecessor Tory administration last year. And it is doing so without any cuts in services to local residents.
