James Sanderson campaigns for safer roads

James Sanderson and the Lib Dems have welcomed a review of Surrey County Council's road safety policy in Woking that could allow 20 mph areas be introduced in Goldsworth East. Local campaigner and father of 4 young children, James Sanderson said, "In May 2006 and again in 2012, Libs Dems called for Surrey County Council to reduce speeds where necessary on the County's roads. This includes the introduction of 20 mph speed limits where evidence."

Denzil Coulson lambasts New Vision Homes for poor service

Denzil was appalled to hear from residents about the poor repairs and customer service that New Vision Homes has been giving council tenants. These range from waiting for months for repairs to be done to poor customer service when residents contact the 24/7 call centre.

Ann marie - green gunge

Keep our canal free of green gunge!

After large parts of the Basingstoke Canal were covered in green gunge from the summer to the end of the year Cllr Ann- Marie Barker is calling for the local waterway to be kept gunge free. The gunge (technically known as duckweed) covered the canal around parts of Horsell, near the town centre and beyond for more than half of 2014.

Goldwater Lodge: Local petition forces action

Thanks to your overwhelming response to the Goldwater Lodge petition, Councillor Denzil Coulson and the Lib Dems successfully forced the Tories to make a decision regarding the future of Goldwater Lodge. They agreed to fund the £915,000 shortfall needed to cover the repair costs not covered by the building's insurers.
